TennisConsulting.com

Oftentimes, people who make decisions pertaining to tennis can find that using an expert in the field will save them time and money, lower the chance of future $urprises, and increase their customer base.

Who Can Benefit from Us

TennisConsulting.com provides a bridge between tennis organizations, tennis professionals, private clubs, public facilities, residential facilities, recreation agencies, existing resources and grants, and the general public. There is a significant difference between public and private sector tennis. Numerous variables can influence the success and the bottom line of an existing program or facility including a new one before construction. The primary goal of TennisConsulting.com is to help grow the game of tennis in both public and private sectors.  One of our specialties is helping municipalities develop and manage a successful program and operate on an organized, professional level.

Public Tennis

In certain U.S. cities tennis is predominately a public sport where a large number of diverse people, ages, and income levels participate in leagues, school tennis, and tournaments. However, in most US cities tennis is largely a country club sport and the public courts, if any, are void of quality tennis programming.  Oftentimes, municipalities will lease their tennis facilities in an attempt to provide better service. This practice can be both good or bad and there are definitely consequences either way. We can help you with this to lease or not to lease situation and help you review and interview the prospective bidders. Oftentimes, the best price or bid comes along with poor workmanship. Certain decisions regarding site selection, court construction, and re-surfacing can have a major impact on the success or failure of a facility. The public deserves quality facilities, management, and programming. Just because it is a public facility doesn’t meant it has to be unprofessional or below par.

If municipalities and parks and recreation agencies were more educated, enthusiastic and competent with general tennis business and operations, their facilities would generate more revenue and provide greater social and economic impact on their city. By getting more youth, especially, “involved” in tennis at public facilities would create win-win situations for many.  The public tennis sector is where the most growth potential is for sport in America. Hiring the right tennis professional and staff to provide this growth-oriented leadership is the key.  Exposure to tennis is great but continuous year round involvement is ideal.

There are millions of dollars available from grants, organizations, businesses and individuals, to help grow the game to all population groups. The U.S.T.A. has adopted the motto that “tennis is a game for life and a game for everyone”! TennisConsulting.com seeks to help municipalities do a better job using existing courts and resources in order to grow the game more effectively and be more successful in the tennis business. Leadership and good decision-making is the key.

Private Clubs

The private sector is another vital market for growth and success in American tennis. Club tennis has a special appeal and flavor. It is quite charming, marketable and fun. Club tennis is often linked with club management, tennis committees, golf, swim, and residential properties.  Profit and numbers can overwhelm owners and management therefore, actively listening to existing members and providing customer service can be a challenge.  In some instances tennis committees, tennis professionals, and managers are ineffective and club programs become stagnant, political and unproductive.

One specialty of TennisConsulting.com is the ability to grow the game within the club and continue to meet the needs of existing members. How do you maintain a certain level of excitement and enthusiasm about tennis at your club? What is your plan to recruit new members, maintain members, and hire the right tennis professional.  Oftentimes, the right professional is not selected for various reasons. We can help with the interviewing and hiring process to insure that you hire the best professional to serve your club and needs. We can survey members, provide an unbiased evaluation of the existing program, attend meetings and aid in the decision-making process for future growth. To help maintain members there is a need for periodic  “polling”, open communication, and a willingness to make adjustments. Tennis professionals are busy teaching and managers are busy managing. TennisConsulting.com can help you better understand your tennis members and your target market, and help you achieve your goals and objectives.  TennisConsulting.com can assist in building a bridge of professionalism, good communication and customer service between a club and its members.

Whereas, swim and tennis communities such as subdivisions, apartments, and condominiums, do not operate like a traditional club. These facilities may or may not have a full-time tennis professional, tennis committee, or manager who can make good tennis decisions. Volunteers and committee members can have a negative impact on the tennis community, leadership and growth because of special interests or lack of tennis expertise. A residential tennis program should be a tremendous marketing feature for the owner and a tremendous benefit for the residents. The primary focus is to encourage more participation and to provide a fun recreational tennis environment.  Therefore, to achieve overall success in this environment it is advantageous for “outside” professional eyes to influence your tennis program.

The Bottom Line

TennisConsulting.com can help your tennis community or facility with certain plans, decisions, objectives and goals. Our objective is to help you save money and time, insure your traffic flows mostly inward, and the majority of your members or patrons enjoy your tennis community or facility.  Our goal is to achieve more growth and successes in the tennis arena. Let us serve you so you can better serve your patrons or members.
